Chapter 6.4 Prepping for Survival

Food and Drink Buffs
Players can generally eat up to 3 meals, and the buffs from each meal ends when the timer runs out. Larger and more complex meals produce longer and stronger buffs. You can replace any existing buff with any slot. You will want to eat outside of battle, typically, since eating takes a while. But you can also eat small snack food quick while running like fruits, cheese, and jerky. You can also delete food buffs at any time. but they stack with the 3 meal buff slots to create a complete meal buff bonus.

Crafter Benefits
Player and NPC cooks can increase buffs even further by the radius of the workstation by placing tables, chairs, and crafting a menu. Menus make a quick questing system that allows them select their preset crafts. Cooks will gain service quest legacy, cooking legacy, and the tinder value that was used to pay for the meal.

Other Buffs
As usual players can gain buffs from their traits, skills, weapons, and equipment. Players can also stack buffs when logging back on from a combat themed construction like training grounds and barracks, or with special construction actions (combat festivals, combat culture skills from claims, etc.

Cooking
You can cook your quick and easy generic cuts fast and easily with a open fire or oven, and more complex recipes made in pots and pans, and optionally finished on plates will give you more buffs. Recipes will range from simple to complex, so players can support themselves quickly and easily, or explore more complexity for specialized buffs.

Healing
Potions are used for healing. You can brew them, or perhaps buy them from NPC, or other players. Some they may slowly heal over time, some all at once, and others-- both. And just like eating food, they have a slow drink mechanic, like in Monster Hunter and Dark Souls. So you need to escape or drink strategically, or rely on unlocked skills that can edit the recovery speed. Some potions can be crafted to offer buffs, and these can be stacked with food buffs.

Resurrection Points
Resurrection points are created at campfires. Players can craft resurrection points on pulled carts, wagons, ships, airships, on campfires on the ground, or in buildings. Resurrection and death will be covered in detail in a future chapter. If the resurrection point is not hidden, players should consider if it will attract monsters and needs to be defended.
