Chapter 11.4 Deep Faith
Monster and Creature Rituals
Players can appease monsters, and mentioned in the Monsters Mechanics chapter. However, players can also craft shrines, after learning what spirit values a monster is attracted to. Placing a monster head/skull (for the greatest effect,) or other monster parts in a ritual circle, a player can direct offerings in favor towards that monster if a monster altar has not been unlocked yet. Players can also craft shrines and altars in similar manners for creatures, but can often create shrines/altars using materials from the creature/ecosystem instead.
Faith Legacy and Affiliations
Players will unlock faith legacy as they perform offerings and prayers for any reason. But will also gain and lose affinity towards different creatures depending on the offerings and prayers set. So players cannot align with every monster or every creature, and should learn which monsters and creatures oppose each other to not negatively affect affiliations they are aiming for.
Faith Based Quests
Faith based players can eventually can construct thrones that function as monster nests, as well as clusters for certain creatures. In some instances, monsters and creatures can recruit them to fight for them. This mechanic is disabled in PVE Casual and PVE normal, but is available in different scales in Hybrid [Spirit Relics Core,] PVP Normal, and PVP hardcore. These players who are aligned enough with a monster/creature can post quests to allow non-faith based players the ability to align with the monster/creature as well. Faith based players will gain faith legacy as other players and NPC complete these quests, but also favor. The player who completes the quest will gain alignment to the target monster/creature, but also to the faith based player who posted it.
Deep Faith
Eventually a player can gain enough faith legend to function the same as monsters, creating an extension of a monster or creature themed nest for themselves. Eventually faith-based players can construct instruments for followers to be worn by players/NPC that heed their leadership. This allows other players/NPC to gain favor for their faith leader when they complete quests, slay monsters/creatures, craft, and do other activities. They can fight as a ally for their leader, in instances where PVP is initiated either in summoned circles using skills from the faith leader, or freely if the world setting allows. This mechanic matches world rules for monster recruiting, and thus is disabled in PVE worlds.
Crimes
Deep faith can be set as crimes in claims/outposts since the farther the path goes, the closer to piracy mechanics it becomes, and can be conducted in secret.
